Once again we see how "Hindus" are the biggest enemies of Hinduism. The
sole criterion for who can perform which vidhi and how is shastra and
parampara. Those who think dharma leaves "a bad taste" can go to hell (as
they actually will.) Now dharma is flexible to some degree and there
might be some leeway but the guiding spirit must be dharma not politics.

How naive must you be to think the "discontented" will be satisfied by
your gestures? Give those people an inch and they will take a mile. And
then 10, 100...

The purpose of a mandir is to worship Bhagavan not to gather resources.

Nope. The 1st amendment of the US constitution guarantees freedom of
religion and it is actually enforced unlike some places. If anyone
attempted to use this law to interfere with dharmic practices the courts
would strike the law down immediately. (Assuming the temples contested
it.)
Here in the New York area there are large numbers of Orthodox Jews who
nearly all send their children to yeshivas (Jewish pathashalas) where
there is intensive study of Jewish scriptures in Hebrew and Yiddish. In
some of these schools children graduate without even knowing basic English
or mathematics. Every time the state tries to enforce its own standards
there is a hue and cry and they are forced to back down. It is not a
question of whether Jewish children should know English (which is probably
a good idea in an English speaking country!) but that Jews think outsiders
should not interfere with their traditions. But then Jews have a spine.
Do Hindus?

Someone like you perhaps? A single bullet has not even been fired and
General Rao is ready to surrender.
