Sureshvaracharya”

यत्प्रसादादयं लोको धर्ममार्गस्थितः सुखी ।
भवभूतिसुरेशाख्यं विश्वरूपं प्रणम्य तम् ॥

~ Vibhavana, tika on Balakrida of Shri Vishvarupacharya

[I bow down to Shri Vishvarupacharya, who is also known as Sureshvara and
who is the devotee of  Bhava, on account of whose blessings  the world
treads on the path of dharma and is happy]

Together with being a Vedantin of the highest order, Shri Sureshvaracharya,
also known as Vishvarupacharya, has composed an authoritative commentary on
Yagnavalkya Smriti called Balakrida. This is probably the earliest
commentary on the Smriti. Given that Sureshvaracharya was a Shukla Yajur
Vedi of Kanva Shakha, it isn’t surprising that he chose to comment on
Bhagavan Yagnavalkya’s Smriti and also on Brihadaranyaka bhashya of
Bhagavatpada.
