[Advaita-l] The sAkshi-pratyaksha of bhAvarUpa-ajnAna

The issue of sAkshi-bhAsyatva of bhAvarUpa-ajnAna is one of the most
important concepts of advaita vedAnta. Without a correct understanding of
this, vedAnta cannot be correctly appreciated. The concepts are rooted in
our day-to-day experience of ignorance which have been analysed in
unimaginable depth by AchAryAs of advaita vedAnta.

I have made a study of this over a period of time and sought guidance from
scholars on several of the key issues. This has resulted in a rather
elaborate note spanning to more than eighty pages. I have put in effort to
systematically present the ideas. The note in PDF can be accessed from

The language in the note is quite Sanskrita-nishTha which may not be very
easy to appreciate at first glance. However, I am sure that with little
effort and by taking help from online LLMs in understanding the Sanskrit
words, one can understand the arguments easily. I am certain that this
effort will be extremely fruitful.

by writing a preface for it. He has been a constant support to me in
understanding the nuances of advaita vedAnta.

I am also grateful to Dr Pushkar Deopujari ji whose workshop on Advaita
