[Advaita-l] A Unique Non-difference between Shiva and Keshava - from the Skanda Purana

स्कन्दपुराणम्/खण्डः ५ (अवन्तीखण्डः)/रेवा खण्डम्/अध्यायः ०११


– Skanda Purana, 5.3.11.54




*शिवविष्णुपराणां हि नराणां किं भयं भवेत् ॥ ११.५२ ॥भवभारार्तजन्तूनां
रेवातीरनिवासिनाम् ।भर्गश्च भगवांश्चैव भवभीतिविभेदनौ ॥ ११.५३ ॥*

What fear can there be for those devoted to Shiva and Vishnu? ॥ 11.52 ॥
For the beings burdened by the weight of worldly existence, for those
dwelling on the banks of Reva (Narmada),
Both Bharga (Shiva) and Bhagavan (Vishnu) are the destroyers of the fear of
worldly existence ॥ 11.53 ॥


*शिवं भज शिवं ध्याय शिवं स्तुहि शिवं यज ।शिवं नम वराक त्वं ज्ञानं मोक्षं
यदीच्छसि ॥ ५४ ॥*

"Worship Shiva, meditate on Shiva, praise Shiva, sacrifice to Shiva. Bow to
Shiva, O wretched one, if you desire knowledge and liberation."

This verse reminds us of the famous 'Bhaja Govindam' sentiment.
