[Advaita-l] Software Engineers dedicate their sons for Veda adhyayana

My friend who was in Sringeri last week saw many Veda Vidyarthis who had
arrived there for the annually conducted Exam.  He spoke to a boy from
Chennai and found that the boy's father was an Engineer. The boy's elder
brother is already in the advanced stage of Veda adhyayana, full time.  The
boy pointed to other boys who were also sons of Engineers.

My friend was pleasantly surprised at this development.  Many fathers, well
placed in their jobs, have dedicated their sons to the full time Veda
adhyayana. This is a welcome trend.

It is also very likely that many complete their prescribed course and go on
to the study of Shaastra and shine in one or more disciplines of Tarka,
Mimamsa, Vedanta, etc.

The Central Govt. has given a great boost for Sanskrit studies, up to the
highest levels.
