Dear Abhishek ji,

Actually nothing happens by itself. There is a cause and that cause does
not act independently. The cause in this case is Avidya/Maya. It is
superimposed on Brahman. Brahman is the passive participant. Maya is the
active one. Objects arise due to our anAdi vasana. The identification
with the Body mind complex is admitted to be anAdi. The end will come when
the Truth is realized.

At a higher level if one is able to witness the show as an unconcerned
observer, the show will not have any effect on the observer.
