In this URL are an assortment of passages from Shankara's Bhashya:
https://tinyurl.com/5n69rfet
where he holds Maya/Prakriti to be TriguNAtmika, made of three gunas:
sattva, rajas and tamas. He says explicitly too that 'everything' is
TriguNAtmika:
introduction to BG 18.41.
The BG.40 says:
There is nothing in the entire creation, cosmos, of the 14 worlds, the
BrahmanDa, that is bereft of / devoid of the three guNas of prakriti.
Only Brahman is beyond this rule since Brahman transcends Prakriti.
Thus, for the Bh.gita and Shankara 'everything other than Brahman' is
TrigunAtmika. Since the world is a product of the Prakriti that is
Trigunatmika, and Maya/avyakta/avidya are triguNAtmika, there is no way to
exclude avidya/ajnana, which are only synonyms for Prakriti/Maya as not
triguNatmika. The mUla kaaraNam Prakriti itself is admitted by Shankara and
the Gita to be triguNAtmika. Hence the effect, kArya, of prakriti, is also
triguNAtmika.
warm regards
