[Advaita-l] Why 144 year kumbh is in 2025?

For that matter ravi (sun) is still in makara only and around second week of Feb he moves to kumbha...that might be the reason climax of kumbhamela planned during third week of Feb.

Yes that is what I was about to ask, Jupiter (guru) is in vrushabha rAshi now.  And Sun will enter kumbha every year approximately this time.  So what exactly the significance of kumbhamela...still not clear to me.

On closer scrutiny, sUrya undergoes the usual makara and kumbha sankramaNa around January 14 and February 13 respectively.

Guru is in a different lagna altogether.
