Namaste Sudhanshu ji
Sharing my understanding-
During suShupti all names and forms also resolve. The darkness of night and
stars also resolve. And when one wakes up, the same stars do not emerge
back, instead the sun rises.
Only DSV can explain this viz., the fact that what resolves is different
from what awakens and is recreated. Because if time is flowing even in the
resolved state of deep sleep, then that’s no resolution of names and
forms.
In DSV, each moment is a complete manifestation and all past waking states
are all mere projections/useful imaginations created in the present moment.
There is no real causal connection between the different experiences we
recollect as past waking states and present waking states since the former
are mere imaginations; the latter only occupies our attention.
In SDV, time cannot be said to resolve in deep sleep only its experience is
absent. Instead deep sleep is only a restful event within the stream of
time.
Any pedagogical idea such as “we analyze deep sleep from its own
standpoint and assert that everything “sat-sampadyate’ including time
itself”, is within DSV alone.
