[Chaturamnaya] Jagadguru Speaks: Be Ever Intent to Help

One must be very careful when one speaks of "self-reliance", because in most cases, people (mistakenly) mean ego-reliance!
Here's Ramana Maharshi in "Talks", distinguishing the two:
---
31st January, 1936
Talk 151.
The American gentleman is a little hard of hearing. Being accustomed
to be self-reliant from his youth he naturally feels worried on account
of his hearing becoming defective.
M.: "You were not self-reliant; you were ego-reliant. It is good that
ego-reliance is banished and that you become truly Self-reliant."
---
In other words:
Self = AtmA
Ego = dehAtma buddhi (I-am-the-body idea)
My perspective:
If one admits that one has not yet let go of "dehAtma buddhi" (attachment to the body), then one is advised to worship
Ishvara in Name-and-Form (e.g. Krishna, Shiva, etc.) till the attachment to the body weakens.
HH is assuming that for most people, dehAtma buddhi is very strong and obstinate, so there is nothing wrong in their
praying to Ishvara, requesting Him/Her to "send help" in some form or another.

Namste
So, is God who is going to send somebody to save is separate from the Ishvara as per the interpretation ?
This absolutely does not make sense to me.
IMO : One needs to become self-reliant as suggested in Veda. Depending on other entities has never helped anyone in any field. That needs to be the real practice as per advaita

The dvaita view is commonly endorsed for the sake for upadesha on sAdhanA. Of course, in advaita, prArthanA is pretty much the same as dvaita, except that Ishvara is taken to be the Self (in other words, bhagavAn and bhakta are the same).

Namaste:
Does this not become a dvaita view ?

Some render help only when sought. Otherwise, they will remain quiet.
This is acceptable to some extent. But some will not help even if they are
aware of the suffering of others who seek help. They will turn a deaf ear
and ignore it. They are called adhamas or inferior people.
