Find out if there is an ego and for whom the ego is for - you may find that the ego is nothing more than a concept just a thought

 

 

find out who you are  and everything else will be understood

 

 

If God has created the world it is His business to look after it, not yours. ... 

A questioner asked: Should I not try to help the suffering world?
Ramana answered: The power that created you has created the world as well. If It can take care of you, It can similarly take care of the world also … If God has created the world it is His business to look after it, not yours. As for prayer for the sake of others, it looks so unselfish on the surface of it. But analyse the feeling and you will detect selfishness there also. You desire others' happiness so that you may be happy. Or you want the credit for having interceded on others' behalf. God does not require an intermediary. Mind your own business and all will be well.

Jesus said: If you know the world, you find a corpse, and if you find a corpse the world is not worthy of you.

Ramana said: Since the world ceases to appear when the body is absent, the world is not other than the body.

The disciples said: Do you want us to fast? How should we pray? Shall we give alms? Are there any foods we shouldn’t eat?
Jesus answered: Fasting is a sin, praying is wrong and donating to charity is an evil. And if people welcome you, eat whatever food they offer and heal their sick. What goes into your mouth can’t pollute you, but what comes out of it can.

Ramana said: If I started punishing people, not even a crow would be able to rest in the ashram. 

Ramana said: Correcting oneself is correcting the whole world. The sun is simply bright. It does not correct anyone. Because it shines the whole world is full of light. Transforming yourself is a means of giving light to the whole world.

 

It is your business and only purpose of this life to save your soul /realize the truth of who and what you are.  That is your ceaseless steadfast purpose in life from morning until night until all the ego concept has been let go. 

 

ALL Ramana Maharishi devotes  I ask that you choose and do what Ramana and Jesus would do and choose. Forgive and understand. Jesus said: Love your brother like your soul and guard him like your eyes

D: I am often baffled and depressed
during or outside my meditation by the
thoughts of millions of souls who are either
quite ignorant or quite innocent, and are
suffering intolerable pains and tortures in
this world; e.g. (a) starvation of the poor
by famine, poverty or unemployment;
(b) pain and suffering through diseases of
ignorant people caused by ignorance of laws
of hygiene, diet or poverty; (c) bombing of
innocent women and children; (d) suffering
through floods, earthquakes, etc. of
innocent and poor persons; (e) killing of
animals for food; (f) insects and lower animals
being eaten up by higher animals in
nature, and so on.
I try to convince myself that all this must
be due to their evil karma in past lives, but
doubts still arise as to how and by whom
their free will was so directed as to force
them to commit such actions. If it was due
to desire, why or how did they come to get
it or such tendencies originally ? If it is due
to avidya, dehadhyas, etc., how can they be
held responsible for the same?
 
M: First find out whether the ego exists,
who is depressed by these thoughts. Find
out how you got the idea of the body. Solve
this problem of your ego, then see if anything
remains to be solved.
