Actually I think it is important for those who aren't familiar with the
tradition (not just Westerners but Indians too) to hear as many different
viewpoints as possible.  This is actually _less_ confusing in the long
run.  Especially when we are talking about meditation, yoga etc.these
things can be spiritually and physically dangerous if done incorrectly.
