[Advaita-l] Did Sankara have non-brahmin disciples?

Namaste Sri Bharadwaj,

I have to see Sankara Digvijaya because it is authoritative Grantha
on Adi Sankara's life. We cannot take one part and leave another
because it is a political problem for secular people.

If we take Adi Sankara meeting Candala when Sankara Digvijaya says it
we must also take the Candala as Siva in disguise. Here the text
clearly says he prayed to Siva.

If we take only first part to conclude he bowed to a Candala as Guru
it is worst mistake.

Regards

-Venkatesh
