[Advaita-l] Shankara's view on Guru without having Shatra study

Namaste Vivek,

As implied by others too, the strictness in which the qualifications of a
Guru as stated by Shankara could be better appreciated by seeing the role
of the Guru as being a 1. transmitter of wisdom and not just 2. being a
mukta.
