Hari Om,

Pranams.

lakShya is one - Brahma.

lakShaNa - two types.
1. svarupa lakShaNa (essential characteristics)
2. taTastha lakShaNa (secondary characteristics)

When the lakShaNa is not different from lakShya, then that lakShaNa is
Swarupa lakShaNa.
eg.
satyam j~nAnam anantam
sat chit Ananda
vijnanam anandam brahma

When the lakShaNa is different from lakShya, then that lakShaNa is
taTastha lakShaNa.
eg: jagat kAraNatvam

regards
