There is the BG Kshatriya dharma: युद्धे चाप्यपलायनम् [not running away
from the war]. In an ancient Tamil work there is this woeful declaration
of a mother whose son ran away from the battle: The breast that fed such a
coward is not worth remaining. Let the nipples be chopped off. நகில்
முனையை அறுத்து விடுங்கள்.
