In the Vishishtadvaita tradition, a-kaara stands for vishnu - aksharaaNam akaarosmi.U-kaara stands for Lakshmi.M-kaara stands for Jeeva. after ka-ca-Ta-ta -pavarga - ma-kaara comes as the 25th letter. 25th also means after pancha jnaana and pancha karma indriyas, pancha bhutas, and pancha praaNas - we have mind, intellect, ahankaara and chitta - total 24 and the one posses these is represented by the 25th Ma-kaara - standing for jeeva.
Pavarga also stands for samsaara.
Hence Om-kaara is interpreted as M standing for jeeva has to approach Lord Vishnu via U- Lakshmi - that A- U- and M stands for Om-kaara meaning.
