Swaroopanand Saraswati had the responsibility of both the Peeths. This morning boththe successors were consecrated amidst Vedic chants at the temple of Goddess Shardamba, the presiding deity of Sringeri Peeth in Karnataka. During this,both the monasteries resolved to work unitedly. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswami of Dakshinamnaya Sringeripeeth gave the responsibility of the Peeth to both the Shankaracharyas byVedic rituals. He said that now Abhishek programs for both the new Shankaracharyas will be organized at many places across the country. The hand placed on the head of the Jagadgurus Shankaracharya Sri Bharathi Teertha Mahaswami placed his hand on the heads of both the Jagadgurus before performing the abhishek. Announced in Sanskrit.“I am consecrating Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati, the successor disciple of Brahmalin Dwipeethadhishwaratwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Maharaj,at Jyotishpeeth and Swami Sadananda Saraswati at Paschimmannaya Dwarkapeeth.” Shankaracharya also presented sweet silver kamandalu to both the newly appointedShankaracharyas. Both expressed a feeling of gracious respect towards him. Reaffirmed its commitment to the unity of the three monasteries with theSringeripeeth. After 20 days there will be other legislation on Badarikashram, Himalayas After the consecration, Mahaswami ji also made an announcement. Said, “After 20 days, in the auspicious time, his successor Swami Vidhushekhar Bharati Maharajwill go to Dwarkapeeth and Jyotrimath Badarikashram, Himalayas. Brahmalin Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Maharajpresented both of them as his successors to Sringeripeethadhishvara Maharaj. At the same time, Brahmalin Shankaracharya Maharaj had also told that after I become Brahmalin,you will get all the necessary religious works done for the succession of these two.
