shortly after Sri Shankara Jayanthi, forever left us all to dwell in the
brilliance of the Eternal. A legend of unwavering focus, he maintained a
demanding schedule even in his twilight years. Yet, his door was always
open to mentor organizations like ours.
'Abhinava Shuka' Brahmasri Mudigonda Shankara Sharma Gaaru was born on 12th
December 1943, in Cheta Paapayapaalem in #Guntur

District of Andhra Pradesh. In his childhood, he learned Vedas under the
tutelage of Sri Ramakrishnavadhani and Sri Dendukuri Subbarayudu. He
learned Tarka, Purva Vaadamu, Prasthaana Traya Bhashyam and
Sahithya-Dharma-Shastras from his father Late Sri Mudigonda Venkatrama
Shastri, who held titles such as Tarka Vedanta Vishaarada,
Brahmavidyalankara and many more.
Sri Sharma Gaaru devoted extensive time and effort to reprint numerous
texts like Vedanta Sarvasvamu, Vedanta Panchadasi, Saara Sangraha
Ratnavali, Yogatraya Saamarasyamu and Soundarya Lahari Vaibhavamu.
His daily routine included teaching Tarka and Veda to numerous students and
giving discourses to saadhakas on Bhashyas at his home in Alkapuri,
Hyderabad. He extensively lectured on Bhagavad Gita and Maandukyopanishad
to interested students at Shankara Mutt, Alkapuri. He has also delivered
scholarly lectures on Srimad Bhaagavata at Naimisharanya, Sringeri,
Brindavan, Ujjain, Kovvur and Hyderabad. Sri Sharma Gaaru was a recipient
of prestigious awards and recognitions to his credit, such as Veda Shastra
Vidwan, Veda Shastra Vyaakhyaana Vibhaakara and Abhinava Shuka.
