His daily routine included teaching Tarka and Veda to numerous students and giving discourses to saadhakas on Bhashyas at his home in Alkapuri, Hyderabad. He extensively lectured on Bhagavad Gita and Maandukyopanishad to interested students at Shankara Mutt, Alkapuri. He has also delivered scholarly lectures on Srimad Bhaagavata at Naimisharanya, Sringeri, Brindavan, Ujjain, Kovvur and Hyderabad. Sri Sharma Gaaru was a recipient of prestigious awards and recognitions to his credit, such as Veda Shastra Vidwan, Veda Shastra Vyaakhyaana Vibhaakara and Abhinava Shuka.
