[Advaita-l] vidhi-vAkya and nishedha-vAkya

Hari Om,

in Brahma-vidyA, we have both vidhi-vAkya as well as nishedha-vAkya.

*Example of vidhi-vAkya:*

1. The four mahAvAkya
2. सत्यं ज्ञानमनन्तं ब्रह्म (तै. उ. २ । १ । १) etc.

*Example of nishedha-vAkya:*

1. अस्थूलमनण्वह्रस्वमदीर्घम् (बृ. उ. ३ । ८ । ८)
2. नेति नेति (बृ. उ. २ । ३ । ६) etc.

Here, what is the relationship between vidhi-vAkya and nishedha-vAkya?

(a) Both are same. OR;

(b) vidhi-vAkya give rise to tattva-jnAna and nishedha-vAkya are anuvAda.
OR;

(c) nishedha-vAkya are upakArI to vidhi-vAkya, and it is the vidhi-vAkya
which have the primacy. OR;

(d) nishedha-vAkya have the primacy over vidhi-vAkya. OR;
