Respected Sir

I hope you are doing well.

I am currently looking for scholarly resources—such as books, research
papers, academic articles, or well-researched blog posts—that refute or
examine the claim that the Kudali Sringeri Matha is the original Sringeri
Sharada Peetham.

Why I am talking abt this? due to the ongoing legal dispute between 71st
and 72nd pontiffs of the Kudali Sringeri Matha and the question of the
legitimate *Uttaradhikari,* some followers of both the Kudali(they are
follower 72nd) and Kanchi traditions(Not talking abt the matha but some
followers r unbearable) have begun attacking specially X and Facebook that
the widely recognized Sringeri Sharada Peetham is not the original matha.
They have also started criticizing those who express respect for the
present-day Sringeri Sharada Peetham.Their principal argument is that Adi
Shankaracharya's references to the Tungabhadra River indicate that the
original Sringeri Matha must have been located at Kudali, which lies at the
confluence of the Tunga and Bhadra rivers, rather than at the present-day
Sringeri, which is situated on the Tunga River alone.I am interested in
studying this issue from a historical and academic perspective. Therefore,
I would greatly appreciate any pdfs credible books, peer-reviewed research
papers, epigraphical studies, historical analyses, or well-documented
articles or internet blogs that critically evaluate or challenge this claim.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your
recommendations.

Swagata Chowdhury
