Not just japa, other religious acts like daana performed during grahana too
fetch multifold results.  While it may not be possible to actually give the
daana since recipients will not be available during that time, one can keep
aside the daana items with the sankalpa and give them later to the intended
people.

They have to do special japa, paarayana, daana during the grahana period. (They
have to do/participate in extra japa, parayana, suvarna, rajata, or
yathashakthi daana)
