[Advaita-l] Padma Purana paraphrases a Mahabharata verse

It is well known that there is this famous verse in the Mahabharata:
रुद्रो नारायणश्चश्चैव *सत्त्वमेकं द्विधा कृतम्*।
लोके चरति कौन्तेय व्यक्तिस्थं सर्वकर्मसु।। 12-350-27a 12-350-27b.
[Rudra and Narayana are only two manifestations of One Principle.......]
We find the above verse paraphrased in the Padmapurana:

विष्णुः शिवः शिवो* विष्णुरेकमूर्तिर्द्विधा स्थिता* |
तस्मात्सर्वप्रकारेण नैव निंदां प्रकारयेत् ||
[Vishnu is Shiva and Shiva is Vishnu, one Form alone appears as two. Hence
one aught not to denigrate either by any means.]
