Namaste.

BUB 3-4-1 (Ushastha BrahmaNa) may also be referred. Copying a small part
 from the same below.

//  वस्तुस्वाभाव्यात् ; किं पुनः तत् वस्तुस्वाभाव्यम् ?
दृष्ट्यादिद्रष्टृत्वम् ; दृष्टेर्द्रष्टा ह्यात्मा ; दृष्टिरिति द्विविधा भवति —
लौकिकी पारमार्थिकी चेति   //

// vastusvAbhAvyAt ; kiM punaH tat vastusvAbhAvyam ?
dRRiShTyAdidraShTRRitvam ; dRRiShTerdraShTA hyAtmA ; dRRiShTiriti dvividhA
bhavati — laukikI pAramArthikI cheti //

Translation (Swami Madhavananda) // What is that ? Its being the witness
of vision etc. for the self is the witness of vision. Vision is of two
kinds, ordinary and real //

I have copied only a small part from the Bhashya, just as an introduction
to what I posted earlier. In the context of the question raised, it would
be very useful and illuminating to study this BrahmaNa ( Ushastha
BrahmaNa), having just two mantras, in its entirety.

Regards.
